Verda Monthly Digest: July Edition

Some months you build. Some months you ship. July was the second kind. We rolled out a batch of platform features you've been asking for, welcomed a new CFO, and took Verda out to the AI community across Paris, Seoul, and Las Vegas. Here's everything that happened.

Platform updates

Audit logs

Project audit logs are now available in the console and via the public API. See who did what in a project, when, and from where, in CloudEvents 1.0 format, covering the last 90 days and exportable as JSON. Available to project owners and admins.

Sign in with Google (SSO)

You can now sign in to the Verda console with your Google account. Link it once under My Account > Linked accounts, and Sign in with Google works straight from the login page. You can unlink it from the same place whenever you want.

Storage now uses binary units

Storage capacity is now shown in binary units (GiB and TiB) instead of GB and TB, across block volumes, shared filesystems, container scratch disks, and every other storage product, on the console, CLI, and API.

In the news

July brought a good run of external coverage:

  • Forbes featured Verda's Arturs Polis on the Jevons Paradox and the shifting economics of AI compute.
  • Helsingin Sanomat named Verda among Finland's most promising AI startups.
  • Sifted listed Verda as a neocloud to watch, according to investors.

Events

RAISE Summit

We spent the week in Paris for RAISE Summit, one of Europe's biggest AI gatherings. Most of the hallway talk circled the themes we live in daily: the squeeze on compute, the economics of inference, and where capacity comes from next.

DDN AI Data Summit

At the DDN AI Data Summit in Paris, our CISO Michael Champion joined a panel on operationalizing true sovereign cloud for frontier AI workloads. The conversation moved past data residency as a checkbox into what running sovereign infrastructure actually takes in practice.

ICML 2026

Some of our team headed to Seoul for the ICML workshops. The workshops are where a lot of the most interesting early-stage research shows up first, before it hits the mainstream, and it was a great chance to get close to the work shaping the next wave of models and the systems they run on.

Ai4

We also spent a few days at Ai4 in Las Vegas, North America's largest applied-AI conference. With the floor focused on how enterprises are actually putting AI into production, from agentic systems to the cost and infrastructure realities behind them, it was a useful read on where the US market is heading.

Upcoming events

We've got a busy few weeks ahead. We're sponsoring three major AI and infrastructure events, with members of our team taking the stage and plenty of chances to meet us in person:

  • Ray Summit, San Francisco | August 24-26
  • Platform Global, Antibes | September 8-10
  • AI Infra Summit, Santa Clara | September 15-17

If you're attending any of them, come find the Verda team and talk AI infrastructure with us. More details on our talks and sessions coming soon.
