Verda Monthly Digest: February Edition

February marked a strong step forward for Verda. We became an NVIDIA Preferred Partner, began work on establishing a new AI center in Sweden, and achieved multiple ISO/IEC certifications that reinforce our commitment to security and privacy.

Together, these milestones reflect our continued focus on building and scaling sovereign, AI-optimized infrastructure in Europe to support the next generation of high-performance training and inference workloads.

Company News

NVIDIA Preferred Partner

Verda has been named an NVIDIA Preferred Partner, becoming one of the first companies in the Nordics to receive this designation. The recognition highlights our continued focus on delivering NVIDIA technologies since our founding in 2020.

As a Preferred Partner, we provide early access to the latest NVIDIA systems, help build sovereign compute capacity in Europe, and power our infrastructure with 100% renewable energy.

Security & Compliance Update

We have successfully obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022, 27017:2021, 27018:2020, and 27701:2021 certifications. These standards cover information security management, cloud security controls, protection of personal data in cloud environments, and privacy information management.

This milestone strengthens Verda’s commitment to secure, compliant, and privacy-focused AI infrastructure for customers operating across Europe and beyond.

Ecosystem

Verda's expansion in Sweden

Verda is planning to expand its operations with a new AI center in Sundsvall, Sweden, marking a significant step in our European growth. The investment increases our regional compute capacity and reinforces our mission to build sovereign, AI-optimized cloud infrastructure in Europe.

By combining high-performance NVIDIA systems with renewable energy and local partnerships, the Sundsvall expansion supports Europe’s push for digital sovereignty and ensures that advanced AI training and inference workloads can run on infrastructure operated within the region.

Platform Updates

  • We have rolled out dark mode across the Verda Console, giving users a more comfortable interface for managing infrastructure, monitoring workloads, and deploying models. You can toggle it on directly in the console settings.
  • We added configurable storage behavior for spot instances, allowing you to define how attached volumes are handled during a spot eviction. This gives teams greater control over cost, durability, and recovery workflows when running interruptible workloads on Verda.

Events

Techarena

At Techarena, our CEO & Founder Ruben Bryon spoke about Europe’s heavy reliance on non-European cloud infrastructure and why sovereignty is becoming critical as AI moves to the center of industry.

As 96% of European cloud usage still runs on American infrastructure, it is Verda’s mission to build a fully European-operated, vertically integrated cloud platform designed specifically for large-scale AI workloads.

With infrastructure investment accelerating across the region, the opportunity is clear. Europe has the talent and demand, and the next decade of AI infrastructure will be shaped by sovereign platforms built for scale. Verda-Blog-Techarena-1200x600px

Mobile World Congress

At MWC Barcelona, our VP of Sales Anssi Harjunpää delivered a talk on sovereign AI and Europe’s opportunity to build its own full-stack AI cloud.

As AI becomes foundational to industry, the discussion focused on why Europe must develop locally operated infrastructure that spans the entire stack, from data centers and compute to platforms capable of supporting large-scale AI workloads. Verda’s mission is to help make that vision a reality.

Upcoming Events

Verda will be sponsoring PyTorch Conference Europe in Paris. The conference brings together researchers, engineers, and companies working at the forefront of AI development.

Through our sponsorship and hackathon, we are excited to support the PyTorch community and engage with teams building the next generation of AI models, tools, and infrastructure.
